Jammy cherries, framboise, spice, and graphite all define the 2025 Château Vieux Maillet, a blend of 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. It's medium-bodied on the palate, focused, and nicely balanced, with integrated tannins. It's rock solid and should easily be outstanding.

The 2025 Vieux Maillet is a huge, tannic wine. Blackberry, gravel, cloves, licorice and chocolate scream out of the glass. A wine of density and power, Vieux Maillet has a lot to offer. I would prefer to see a touch more finesse.

Aromas of toasty oak and ripe berries introduce the 2025 Vieux Maillet, followed by a firm and chewy palate.
