Tasting notes
The 2025 Le Thil comes from limestone/clay soils. It has a light but delineated bouquet, with fine minéralité coming through. The palate is medium-bodied and, again, that limestone really comes through on the entry, linear and vertical in style with a dash of cracked black pepper towards the finish. It has an intellectual aspect this year.

A beautiful, elegant wine, the 2025 Château Le Thil is based on 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc and reveals black cherries, smoky tobacco, violets, and some spicy nuances on the nose. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it has a pure, layered, elegant mouthfeel and fine tannins.
Precise and medium- to full-bodied, showing a focused, almost fibrous structure, polished tannins with a touch of granularity, and linear dark fruit.
The 2025 Le Thil is a very pretty wine. Deeply pitched floral notes perk up a core of bright red-toned fruit, blood orange, chalk, mint and white pepper. This elegant, polished Pessac-Léognan has a lot to offer. The tannins, which can be a bit intrusive here, are impeccably balanced. This is all charm.
