Tasting notes
The 2025 Larrivaux was cropped at 25 hl/ha between 15 and 25 September. It has a pleasing bouquet with a mixture of red and black fruit, cedar and light sous-bois scents unfolding in the glass. Fine delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, perfectly judged acidity, very lithe in the mouth, but there is weight and just sufficient grip. A polished and classy Larrivaux that will give immense pleasure.

Checking in as a blend of 53% Merlot, 21% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Cabernet Franc, and 8% Petit Verdot that's being raised 12 months in 38% new French oak, the 2025 Château Larrivaux offers up beautiful notes of cassis, ripe red fruits, spring flowers, graphite, and tobacco. Medium-bodied on the palate, it has a pure, graceful mouthfeel and ultra-fine tannins, with a gorgeous finish. I'd put this up with the finest vintages here.
The 2025 Larrivaux is a gorgeous, sensual wine. Floral, silky and impeccably balanced, the 2025 is a total delight. Bright red-toned fruit, new leather, dried herbs, mocha and spice are some of the many nuances that develop with a bit of coaxing. This Haut-Médoc delivers the goods, big time.
