Tasting notes
The 2025 La Rousselle was cloaked in quite a bit of oak on the nose, although at 30%, there is nothing excessive. The palate is well balanced and, here, the oak is more enmeshed, with fine tannins, quite tensile, and admirable precision and vivacity on the finish. A lively Fronsac that should be delicious in bottle.

Tons of cassis and jammy blue fruits as well as classic leafy herbs, tobacco, and violets all emerge from the 2025 Château La Rousselle, a gorgeous Fronsac that has more than a passing resemblance to a solid Pomerol. On the palate, it's rich and full-bodied, with a round, lush mouthfeel and sweet tannins. I'd be thrilled to drink a bottle.
The 2025 La Rousselle is quite delicate and fragrant. Crushed flowers, vibrant red-toned fruit, cedar and spice are beautifully lifted. This effortless, airy Fronsac is charming and very elegant. It will drink well with minimal cellaring. Sublime. Tasted two times.
