Tasting notes
A regal, elegant wine, the 2025 Château La Confession sports a deep ruby/purple hue as well as a pretty nose of violets, black raspberries, and blue fruits. Based on 75% Merlot, 22% Cabernet Franc, and 3% Malbec, it's medium-bodied on the palate, with a focused, elegant mouthfeel, nicely integrated acidity and tannins, and beautiful overall balance.

Medium- to full-bodied with polished tannins and delicate dark fruit. Very elegant.
The 2025 La Confession is an inky, explosive Saint-Émilion. A rush of black cherry, chocolate, new leather, licorice, incense and espresso makes a pretty strong statement. The oak is not totally integrated here; let's see what élevage brings. There's a good bit of potential. Tasted two times.
The 2025 La Confession appears to have reverted to form, exhibiting aromas of dark berries and planky new oak followed by a medium- to full-bodied, firm and chewy palate.
