The 2025 Fourcas Dupré has a slight over-egged nose (I prefer the refinement shown by the Fourcas Hosten tasted alongside it). The palate is medium-bodied with piquant black fruit laced with black pepper. Good acidity, edgy for a Left Bank, this has decent sapidity on the very grippy finish. Not bad, but it needs to gel during its barrel maturation.

A solid, nicely balanced Listrac, the 2025 Château Fourcas Dupré reveals cassis, graphite, spring flowers, and minty herbs on the nose. Based on 74% Cabernet Sauvignon and 26% Merlot that's being raised in 30% new 300-litre barrels with the balance in concrete tanks and amphora, it's medium-bodied on the palate, with firm tannins and outstanding length. Checking in at 13.5% alcohol with a pH of 3.42, I tasted this twice, and it could be a real hidden gem of a wine.

Granular tannins with currant, earth and dark chocolate flavors. It’s solid in the mid-palate and shows plenty of fruit and chewy phenolics at the end. It has potential and structure.

The 2025 Fourcas Dupré is a big, hearty wine. A blast of dark red fruit, leather, incense, spice, menthol, licorice and gravel makes quite a statement. This brooding, potent Listrac does not leave much to the imagination. Tasted two times.
