The 2025 Château de Fieuzal Blanc was picked 17 to 25 August. This is quite understated on the nose and demands some coaxing, eventually revealing Granny Smith, Anjou pear and light sea spray scents. The palate is well balanced with a keen line of acidity. Lemon and orange pith notes, not amazingly complex, but I like the texture and there is ample freshness and weight on the finish. Fine.

Bright citrus and orchard fruit, mint, and some spicy wood all emerge from the 2025 Château De Fieuzal Blanc, a serious Pessac-Léognan blanc based on 70% Sauvignon Blanc and 30% Sémillon, with the Sémillon aged in new barrels and the Sauvignon Blanc raised in once-used barrels. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it has a nicely concentrated, balanced mouthfeel, integrated acidity, and a great finish.

This is medium- to full-bodied with linear acidity and notes of green apples and peaches alongside a subtle textural element. It shows charming balance between concentration and freshness.

One of the more compelling white wines in Bordeaux in recent years, the 2025 Blanc from Château de Fieuzal unfurls in the glass with an attractive bouquet of pear, white peach, spice, flowers and ripe orchard fruits. Medium- to full-bodied, layered and dense, it’s built around a fleshy, seamless core of fruit, framed by racy acidity that carries through to a long, mineral and precise finish. It's a particularly successful rendition and among the more complete whites of the vintage.
