Score 89/100 · Drink 2008-2025, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Jul 2020
Aromas of candied peel, earthy soil tones, dried fruits and cedary new oak introduce the 1988 Richebourg Grand Cru, a medium to full-bodied wine that's deep, concentrated and firm, combining fully mature, tertiary aromatics with still-youthful structure. It's quite a tannic, compact example of Richebourg, and I suspect it will always stay that way.
