Tasting notes
A blend of multiple sites including ex-Reverie, Vine Hill Ranch, Sleeping Lady, and Ecotone vineyards, the 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Hierothesion is considered the entry-level effort for this estate and was aged 22 months in 70% new French oak. Vibrant red and blue fruits, sappy spring flowers, violets, and hints of graphite all show here, and it's medium to full-bodied, with a pure, seamless mouthfeel, soft tannins, and a great finish. Readers looking for a great introduction to this estate, as well as a killer wine to drink over the coming 10-15 years, will absolutely love this. Drink 2025-2040.

The 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Hierothesion is a gorgeous entry-level offering in this range. Tasted after all the single-vineyard Cabernets, the Hierothesion more than holds its own. It's a big, ample wine that offers tons of immediacy. Black fruit, leather, incense and cloves are front and center. Readers will have a hard time keeping their hands off this gem.
