Tasting notes
Vivid ruby. Mineral-accented cherry, raspberry and licorice scents are complemented by a deeper note of dark chocolate. Stains the palate with sweet red and dark berry flavors complicated by notes of candied lavender and coconut. Smoothly melds power and vivacity, finishing on a gently tannic note, with very good persistence and lingering floral character.

Bright violet color. Dark berries, woodsmoke, licorice and dried flowers on the assertive nose. Fresh and energetic, offering sweet blueberry and blackberry flavors that gain spiciness and power with air. Zesty acidity adds focus and bite to the long, sappy, fruit-driven finish shaped by dusty tannins.
Vineyard soil: 30% Grenache Blanc, 20% Clairette, 40% Roussanne, 10% Bourboulenc. Broad and rich. Lots of sweetness but interesting depths too. (JR)
