Certified organic. Cask sample. Deep cherry red. Rich, ripe and intensely fruited, dark-red fruit is very ripe. Smells almost a touch overripe. On the palate, intense sweet-sour red fruit but not quite overripe. Deep, dense and generous. Tannins so smooth even now but with the firmness to hold all that fruit in shape. Long, generous, satisfying, with just enough freshness to balance. (JH)

Cask sample. Intense, powerful, briary and impressive grand cru. Deep purple hue in the glass. Some floral qualities emerge with a bit of time. Cool and fresh on the palate with plenty of fine oak and firm tannins to promote a very long and elegant development. But this is so expensive! (AWH)
