Tasting notes
The 2016 Antithesis is a blend of Merlot and Petite Sirah. Black cherry, plum, leather, smoke, gravel and crème de cassis all flesh out in an unctuous, alluring red blend full of unpretentious appeal. Drink it over the next decade.

I’ll start this note by stating this wine is a bit edgy and not for everyone. A Merlot and Petite Sirah blend uniquely fermented to produce “a piece of art” of winemaker Jason Moore’s own creation, aged 22 months in 100% new French oak, the 2016 AntithesiS Red Wine is a fantastic find for those looking for a creative take on these varieties. It has a deep garnet-purple color with pronounced notes of stewed plums, baked blackberries and spice cake plus earth and meat notes in the background. The palate is medium to full-bodied, firm and chewy with seamless freshness and loads of savory layers, with a long mineral finish. 100 cases produced.
