Score 17.5/20 · Drink 2026-2036, Jancis Robinson MW, Apr 2026

A blend of 66% Grenache, 18% Syrah, 8% Counoise and 8% Mourvèdre fermented with ambient yeasts in a combination of stainless steel and wooden upright fermenters. Aged for 12 months in 1,200-gallon French oak foudres. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. 1,401 cases produced. Regenerative Organic Certified. Aromas of strawberries, mixed forest berries and wildflowers. Juicy mixed-berry flavours combine with citrus oil, dried herbs and fresh flowers to make for a vibrant and faintly saline mouthful. Fleecy tannins coat the mouth but don’t press in on the palate much, letting the excellent acidity, fruit and herbs take centre stage. GV (AY)

A blend of 66% Grenache, 18% Syrah, 8% Counoise and 8% Mourvedre, the 2023 Côtes de Tablas features the highest proportion of Grenache in two decades, reflecting the fortunate combination of the varieties' yields and quality in this vintage. It leads with a strikingly fresh and pure bouquet of vibrant red fruits, orange rinds and candied licorice, introducing a lively palate with a touch of sweetly fruited padding that carries through the succulent, grippy finish.

66% Grenache, 18% Syrah, 8% Counoise, 8% Mourvèdre. Generally, this blend is 45–50% Grenache, but in 2023 the Grenache was structured enough that it could make up more of the blend. Certified regenerative (ROC), biodynamic (Demeter) and organic (CCOF). Pale, verging on medium ruby. Smells light and pretty but with a nice spice and brambliness. No evident new oak. Sweetness to the fruit. Round yet structured on the palate, with a lingering, tangy, fresh finish. I would cellar this for a few years. (SCJ)

Full bottle 1,236 g. 34% Viognier, 31% Marsanne, 20% Grenache Blanc, 13% Roussanne and 2% Clairette Blanche. Pale lemon in colour with a hint of gold. Honeysuckle and golden-apple nose. Fresh acidity and more weight, concentration and length than the Patelin 2023. Could do with another year in bottle. (SCJ)
