Tasting notes
The most unique and beguiling wine in the range, the 2022 Zinfandel contains 2% Viognier and is unusually deep and dark in profile, with aromas of underbrush, wet clay and baking chocolate. Velvety and lavish on the palate without feeling overly thick, it transitions to an intensely concentrated finish braced with an atypically taut, focused structure and delicious savory underpinnings. I found this to be a singular gem within a stellar lineup of wines, and I am eager to revisit it over the coming years.

Harvested between September 5th and the 4th of October, the 2022 Zinfandel is all varietal and spent 17 months in 34% new French oak. Ripe blackberries, mulberries, black pepper, violets, and flowery incense notes all shine here, and it's medium to full-bodied, has an incredibly pure, layered mouthfeel, great mid-palate depth, and a great finish. I'd put this up with the finest Zinfandel out there.
