2004 Brandlin Cabernet Sauvignon

This blend of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Malbec, 3% Petit Verdot and 1% Cabernet Franc is one of the finest wines I have tasted from Brandlin. I’ve had a weak spot for top Cabernets from Mount Veeder for many decades, and this example exhibits a dense ruby/purple color, wonderful creme de cassis, blueberry and floral notes, a sweet, creamy, full throttle texture, and a long finish. It tastes like a wine four to five years younger than its ten years of age, and it should continue to evolve for a decade or more. Tel. (707) 942-2464
