Score 91/100 · Drink 2005-2009, Robert Parker, Jun 2005

The 2003 Cote de Tablas, a blend of 60% Grenache, 24% Syrah, 12% Mourvedre, and 4% Counoise, represents a souped-up version of a California Cotes du Rhone. Its sweet candied cherry/kirsch liqueur, licorice, resiny, loamy soil, and white pepper notes are followed by a generous, medium to full-bodied, pure, complex, delicious wine to drink over the next 3-4 years.
