The 2023 Estate Pinot Noir Scallop Shelf has bright aromas of blood orange, hibiscus, bitters and woodsy undertones. The medium-bodied palate offers concentration without weight, its perfumed flavors framed by dusty tannins and juicy acidity, and it has a long, elegant finish. 750 cases were made, and it will be released in February 2026.
The 2023 Pinot Noir Estate Scallop Shelf is alluring from the first taste. Dark fruit, lavender, licorice, menthol, sage and tea leaves are all nicely delineated. The 2023 is dark, almost brooding, and yet it remains light on its feet. Bright tannins pull it all together on the close. It is the most vibrant of the Pinots in the range.
