Tasting notes
The 2024 Griotte-Chambertin Grand Cru is quite understated on the nose, gradually unfolding with red berry fruit, used tea leaves, forest floor and just a hint of rosehip. There is beguiling delineation and focus. The palate is medium-bodied with finely sculpted tannins, very elegant in style, yes, classic as often said. Just a touch of black pepper towards the finish that lingers in the mouth. Quite discreet but there is real class in this Griotte-Chambertin.
