1984 Forman Cabernet Sauvignon

LAST TASTED 10/93 Age has not benefitted this wine. Although it is still lively, crisp, and tangy, it presents an empty nose devoid of anything save for some oak and watery fruit. Hard, closed, and tight, with high acidity, harsh tannin, and a lack of flesh, chewiness, and extraction, was this wine excessively acidified as well as sterile filtered at bottling?
