Tasting notes
8 hl/ha. Fine lemon yellow. Less honeysuckle, more a softer white fruit on the nose. Lots of energy on the palate though, again slightly softer in style, with some ripe lemons, then fills out the finish quite nicely.

The 2024 Chablis Vaulorent ler Cru comes from a 3.6-hectare plot that produced 12 barrels this vintage. It has impressive focus and mineralité on the nose, just fizzing with energy. The palate is medium-bodied, crisp and tensile, with fine acidity and a classically styled, flinty, citric finish. This is another great 2024 from William Fèvre.

(Sweet Spot)
(from a huge 3.63 ha parcel out of only 17 ha and most of it is hard by Les Preuses. Séguier calls this their “baby grand cru” as specific barrels are selected for vine age, concentration and power; from yields of only 8 hl/ha in
2024). In much the same fashion as the Montmains, the nose makes clear that this could only be from Chablis with its nose of quinine, petrol, mineral reduction, tidal pool and oyster shell. There is outstanding volume, mid-palate density and power to the beautifully textured medium weight plus flavors that deliver excellent depth and persistence. This is arguably a bit less refined than it usually is but it’s also notably more concentrated and powerful. One to strongly consider.
