Under 10 hl/ha here, unfortunately. A little more lemon in the colour, and more perfumed in bouquet. The 2024 Montée de Tonnerre has all the fruit you could want, even a little honeysuckle, with good natural acidity, a long and charming finish, with good grip. Fine persistence, a lovely example.

The 2024 Chablis Montée de Tonnerre ler Cru is not dissimilar on the nose to Les Lys this year. It's airy with apple blossom, hints of yellow fruit and honeysuckle opening nicely in the glass.. The palate is very well balanced with fine poise and weight. This is a little Vaillon-like in terms of generosity but spicier, with traces of lemongrass on the aftertaste. The 2024 is excellent.

(from a 2.24 ha holding that is divided between Pied d’Aloup, Côte de Bréchain and Chapelot; from yields of only 7 hl/ha in 2024). This is also wonderfully elegant and expressive with its ripe yet cool nose of seemingly every flower imaginable as there is even a hint of gardenia, along with a plenitude of classic Chablis elements. The rich, suave and caressing medium-bodied flavors possess good verve and evident minerality on the youthfully austere and sneaky long finish. This is really very classy though it will definitely need to add depth to merit the upper end of my projected range.
