2022 Dehlinger Pinot Noir High Plains Vineyard

A jeweled red color, the 2022 Pinot Noir High Plains comes from vines planted in 1989 with mostly Pommard clone, along with some Swan entering the mix. A rounder wine all around, it opens to pure aromas of black raspberry, red fruit liqueur, pretty, minty lift, pressed roses, and dark spices. It’s juicy and inviting, with a silky texture, and has fantastic length that lasts long after the wine is gone. These are some of the region's finest wines, and this one offers a wide window for enjoyment over the coming 20 years. One of the most unique properties in the Russian River Valley and Sonoma County, the Dehlinger estate is a single, contiguous property spanning 80 acres with diverse exposition, soils, and biodiversity. The original 14 acres of vines were planted by Tom Dehlinger in 1974. Today, his daughters Eva and Carmen lead the way in the vineyards and winery and are producing some of the most compelling Pinot Noir, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Chardonnay the region has to offer.
