Deep red. Sexy aromas of singed cherry, raspberry, vanilla bean and Asian spices, with a sneaky note of potpourri gaining strength with air. Juicy, penetrating bitter cherry, cola and rose pastille flavors are framed by silky tannins, which add focus and grip. The rose note repeats on the finish, which leaves a sweet trail of red fruits behind. Lots going on now but this is still a baby. This vineyard was planted in 1970, which makes these among the oldest pinot vines in the Russian River Valley
