Score 91/100 · Drink 2016-2020, Robert Parker, Dec 2016
The 2015 Chardonnay Private Reserve is all barrel fermented, goes through 100% malolactic, and still comes from the Gamble Ranch in southern Napa. The oak is slightly more subtle than in the previous example, with touches of hazelnut, white peach, honeysuckle and tropical fruits. The oak is there, but delicious and not overdone. This is a big Chardonnay compared to the Luminus. Drink it over the next 3-4 years.

Score 92/100 · Drink 2016-2020, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Oct 2016
The 2015 Chardonnay Private Reserve presents all of the notes that are so typical of this wine. Butter, tropical fruit, vanillin and sweet French oak are all pushed forward. Ample, creamy and expressive, the 2015 is a prototypical California barrel fermented Chardonnay.
