Pale garnet. Very rich and sweet on the nose – the opposite of IPOB on the nose! Although it's not too heavy on the palate. Fresh and transparent overall and not too dense. (JR)

Aged one year in 40% new French oak. Ripe, soft and simple. There's a certain dilution on the palate which is disappointing. Hot alcohol too. Unbalanced. (RH)

The 2012 Pinot Noir Don Miguel Vineyard Cristina is one of the more powerful, intense wines in the range. Black cherry, new leather, spice and sweet French oak fill out the wine's broad, ample frame nicely. The Don Miguel is attractive, although not quite as complete a wine as the other Pinots in this lineup.
