Tasting notes
The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon St. Helena comes from a vineyard on the valley floor not far from Vineyard 29's famous Aida Vineyard. It is also 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and this one offers more floral notes, cedar wood, baking spices, intense blackberry and cassis fruit, with licorice and camphor. It is dense, full-bodied, opulent and a stunner. This should drink well for 25-30 years.

The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon St. Helena is another dense, powerful wine. Red cherry, plum, graphite, scorched earth, gravel and exotic spice notes give the 2014 much of its distinctive personality. The ripeness that is so typical of wines from this northern sector of St. Helena comes through nicely, but there is plenty of supporting structure beneath.
