Full bottle 1,355 g. 55-year-old vines. Aged 15 months in barrel. Pale garnet hue. Red-fruit aromatics. Juicy and fresh with a touch of sweetness on the palate and tannins that add a serious note. Not the most thrilling but structured and balanced. Needs food. (JL)

From several parcels in different lieux-dits, the 2019 Moulin-à-Vent has quite a Pinot-like bouquet with cranberry and raspberry preserve. Merlin was adamant that the vinification is traditional carbonic maceration (just an 11 or 12 day maceration with 100% stems). The palate is quite structured, a little rigid at the moment. It's strict but fresh with fine mineralité towards the spicy, slightly reductive finish.
