Tasting notes
The 2023 Pinot Noir Hirsch Vineyard comes from vines planted around 1,500 feet above the Pacific Ocean. Matured for 16 months in 43% new French oak, it has slowly opening scents of strawberry, raspberry, licorice, bitters and desert herbs. The medium-bodied palate is elegantly styled with arresting, spicy flavors. It’s structured by fine, chalky tannins and bright acidity, and has a very long, detailed finish. Only 150 cases were made.

About the producer
Williams Selyem is an iconic Russian River Valley winery best known for its Pinot Noir. Producing restrained yet classically Californian expressions of the heartbreak grape (as well as a host of other wines), the property has gone from pioneer to one of the region’s standard-bearers.
