Tasting notes
The 2022 INEO is a much more Cabernet Franc-dominated blend and checks in as 50% Cabernet Franc, 41% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the balance Petit Verdot. Raised 22 months in 64% new French oak, it has a ruby/purple hue as well as solid aromatics of sweet red and black fruits, spicy oak, pressed flowers, leather, and old library books. More medium-bodied on the palate, it's a nuanced, elegant 2022 that has soft, nicely integrated tannins, a lively sense of freshness, and outstanding length. While a solid step back from the 2021, this is nevertheless a successful, well-made, enjoyable 2022 that should have a decade or more of prime drinking.

The 2022 Ineo is a heady, boisterous wine. Succulent dark cherry, ripe plum, espresso, menthol, licorice and espresso burst from the glass. Even with all of its obvious upfront intensity, the 2022 retains terrific freshness. There is some tightness in the tannins, but that is to be expected given the year. This is a very elegant wine. Production is just 40 cases.
