2003 Freeman Pinot Noir Akiko's Cuvée

Good bright deep red. Slightly dull aromas of singed red berries and apple. Offers good sweetness but the spicy red fruit flavors come across as slightly dry-edged and less floral than those of the basic bottling. Boasts decent tangy acidity and yet this pinot doesn't quite come alive.
