The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Songbook is a gorgeous wine built on a core from David Abreu's Las Posadas vineyard. Plum, blackberry, graphite, pomegranate, dried herbs and menthol open first, followed by a whole range of complicating earthy and mineral notes. All this needs is a bit of time to come together in bottle. (AG) 94+
So much breadth and power in this saturated, concentrated but not over-the-top wine. Black cherry, blackcurrant, violet, cinnamon and toast notes on full, silky tannins. Has the structure for long-term aging. A majority of the fruit came from David Abreu's Howell Mountain and St. Helena vineyards. Includes 8% cabernet franc, 6% petit verdot and 2% malbec.
