Tasting notes
100% Chardonnay. Base 2019. Dosage 1.6 g/l, disgorged October 2022. Sour cream, slightly slightly flinty. This really has a moreish cheesecake tang, lots of lemon zest flecked through the creaminess and a biscuity shortbread crust underneath. Very appetising. Dry and lemony but not austere thanks to the creaminess. The kind of wine I’d love with mussels or oysters – it has that briny echo. (TC)

Derived from Cramant, Avize and Cuis, the NV Extra-Brut Blanc de Bancs l'Aventure was disgorged in July 2020 with 1.6 grams per liter dosage. Offering up aromas of white flowers, citrus zest and green apple, it's medium to full-bodied, pillowy and precise, with racy acids and a tangy, mouthwatering finish. Based on the 2017 vintage with 40% reserve wines, it didn't see malolactic fermentation.
