Vines 40+ years old. Some vegetation on the nose. Then great breadth and precision. Very limpid and indeed charming. Lighter than Dugat-Py. Great lift. Very, very fine taffeta tannins. Very, very fresh though not a massive step up from the premier crus. (JR)

Bright medium red. Cherry and a hint of game on the nose. Quite sweet, even rather feminine in style, but less open today than the premier crus from Gevrey. With less obvious mid-palate stuffing, this one shows its oak on the smoky finish. The grand crus here have not yet been racked, so this may be a bit less clenched by the time it's bottled.
