Saturated ruby. Lively, spice-tinged cherry and blackberry scents are brightened by suggestions of smoky minerals and pungent flowers. Fleshy and smooth on the palate, offering juicy dark berry and violet pastille flavors and a touch of licorice. Appealingly sweet on the persistent finish, which features harmonious tannins and a repeating floral quality. Made with 25% whole clusters.

Inky ruby. Potent, smoke-accented dark berry preserve and candied violet aromas are lifted by a cracked pepper nuance. Broad and weighty on the palate, offering bitter cherry, cassis and licorice flavors and a touch of smokiness. In an ample style but avoids coming off as ponderous thanks to a core of juicy acidity. Chewy tannins build slowly on a long, broad finish that leaves a subtle floral note behind.
100% Syrah. Excellent violet perfume. So lifted and peppery, really shows off the fragrance that Syrah can achieve, but delivers lots of savoury black fruit too. (RH)
