Score 87/100 · Drink 2012-2016, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Apr 2012

The 2008 Gran Clos is a blend of 46% Garnacha, 36% Carinena and 18% Cabernet Sauvignon from 20- to 90-year-old vines, aged for 17 months in French oak. It has a slightly charred nose of pain grille and macerated dark cherries. The palate is full-bodied and very concentrated with charred black fruit and a little dryness towards the finish. This seems a little over-extracted in the winery. Drink now-2016. Importer: Palm Bay International, FL; tel. (561) 362-9642
