The NV Malvasia 10 Years Old, the younger and sweeter version of the aromatic grape with 111 grams of sugar, shows a surprisingly dark color, darker than the 10-, 15- and 20-year-old bottlings of other varieties. It has notes of raisins, dates and burnt sugar. It ws sweet and relatively straightforward, with notes of toffee.

Mid orangey tawny. Rather rank wood on the nose...? Light and dry on the front palate then a bit sticky. Not really very integrated. (JR)
