Tasting notes
The 2012 Barolo is a full and generous wine that is well put together. The wine offers a first layer of plump fruit and dried cherry and later segues to more ethereal tones of spice and cured tobacco. You will appreciate the integrity and the natural fiber (succulence, if you will) of this aged Nebbiolo.

The 2012 Barolo is sweet, floral and lifted, all of which make it a good choice for drinking over the next few years. Sweet rose petal, dried flowers, hard candy and very ripe red cherry nuances give the wine its racy, forward personality. The wine's short finish will increasingly become a liability as the wine ages.
Serralunga d’Alba. Deep ruby with narrow orange rim. Candied and a little cooked on the nose and sweetly minty. Quite sweet and ripe on the palate with modest acidity. Too marked by oak for my taste and already developing. (WS)
