Score 91/100 · Drink 2016-2026, Robert Parker, Oct 2015

The 2013 Pinot Noir Occidental Ridge, made from Dijon clones 667, 777 and 115, goes toward the Côte de Beaune premier cru style of red, fruity Pinot Noir. Obviously cool-climate, this medium-bodied wine has a low pH and loads of earthy, sweet and sour cherry, red currant and pomegranate notes. It is tightly coiled and closed, but should open up with another 1-2 years of bottle age and last at least ten or more years. About 10% whole-clusters were used in the making of this wine.

Score 95/100 · Drink 2018-2028, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Jan 2015

The 2013 Pinot Noir Occidental Ridge Vineyard is one of the more delicate and refined wine in the range. Bright red stone fruits, mint and sweet spices all lift from the glass. Silky, sweet and exceptionally polished throughout, the Occidental Ridge hits all the right spots today. The 2013s here are at times a bit on the heavier side, but not the Occidental Ridge; which speaks to total elegance above all else.
