Score 100/100 · Drink 2016-2041, Robert Parker, Dec 2015

The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Rainin Vineyard is from a Diamond Mountain site of eight acres. The wine is dense ruby/purple, flawlessly constructed with gorgeous blackberry and blueberry fruit, a stunning almost endless finish, great purity and fabulous palate presence. This is provocative as well as prodigious Cabernet Sauvignon, that’s as good as it gets. This should drink well for 20 to 25 years and is a tribute to the incredible efforts and progress Kathryn Hall has made in such a short period of time.

Score 92/100 · Drink 2017-2025, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Oct 2015

A huge, opulent wine, the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Rainin offers up a compelling mélange of inky fruit, herbs, mocha, licorice, leather and tobacco. The style is deep, plush and resonant, with considerable intensity and volume. This is an especially dense, full-throttle Cabernet from Diamond Mountain built on richness and super-ripe fruit.
