Tasting notes
Pale to medium ruby in color, the whole cluster component stands out a little bit more on the nose of the 2014 Pinot Noir Marjorie Vineyard at this youthful stage, hovering over a core of ripe red cherries, red currant and rhubarb with hints of damp earth, moss and sage, plus a waft of flowers. Medium-bodied, the palate is packed with intense red berry and earth flavors layered with a firm strap of finely-grained tannins and a racy acid line, finishing long with some alluring spices coming through. Wow.

Vivid red. Sexy, intensely perfumed cherry, boysenberry and floral pastille scents are complemented by hints of cola, rhubarb and Asian spices. Palate-staining red and blue fruit and spicecake flavors convey power as well as vivacity thanks to a core of juicy acidity. The floral quality comes back strong on a strikingly long, sappy and focused finish that's shaped by smooth tannins.
