100% Cabernet Franc. Picked just a little too ripe so that it has lost Cab Franc's fragrance. A bit dry and clumpy on the end… I can’t help feeling there was potentially a wonderful wine here. (JR)
The 2008 Dedicato a Walter shows good varietal character in its dark, sumptuous fruit, licorice, mocha, espresso and grilled herbs. Here, too, I don't find the level of detail and nuance that elevate the best years.
