Tasting notes
Matured for 18 months in 33% new French oak, the 2022 Chardonnay Bootlegger's Hill has slowly opening aromas of poached pears, golden apples, lemon blossom, panna cotta and saline. The full-bodied palate offers concentrated white fruit flavors and its oak is well integrated. Its mouth-coating flavors are balanced by bright, shimmery acidity, and it has a long, mineral-driven finish.

Also from the Russian River Valley, from a site planted by Charlie Chenoweth, the 2022 Chardonnay Bootlegger's Hill is savory and has a subtle flinty reduction lifting from the glass, along with salted pineapple, lime, and delicate spices. The palate retains a refreshing spine of ripe acidity that keeps this full-bodied white focused and lifted with a more linear feel and energetic feel. It’s a solid offering that has the most potential for longevity in the range. Drink 2025-2035.
