The Tenuta di Biserno 2022 Biserno, a dark and rich blend of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, reveals layered aromas of dark fruit, sweet spice and campfire ember. A bright note of candied orange adds multidimensionality and a touch of extra sweetness, lifting the overall profile. Fermented in steel and aged for 15 months in mostly new French barriques, the wine reflects a hot vintage yet avoids feeling weighed down, finishing with soft, sweet tannins and a polished texture.

Intensity and elegance dominate in this wine. The nose shows aromatic herbs, eucalyptus, bramble fruit and sweet spices. Full-bodied, it has firm, velvety tannins, refreshing acidity, a slightly chalky finish and a long, savory aftertaste. Drinkable now, but best in two or three years.
Rich, powerful, plenty of muscular tannins and dark fruits that speak to the high percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon and Franc in this wine, high spice with dried fruits and liquorice. This could do with a few years in bottle before drinking. 70% new oak for ageing, winemaker Helena Lindberg, director Niccolo Marzichi Lenzi.
