Tasting notes
Just gorgeous, the 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville offers ripe red and black fruits, spicy herbs, cedar pencil, and dried flower-driven aromatics. Based on 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc and aged 16 months in 20% new French oak, it's medium to full-bodied with a pure, seamless mouthfeel and terrific balance. This already accessible, forward, incredibly seductive effort will drink beautifully over the coming 15 years. Drink 2025-2040.

The 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville is a fabulous introduction to this range. Succulent dark red cherry/plum fruit, mocha, new leather and lavender are pushed forward. Soft, racy contours wrap it all together in style. This is sure to be a crowd-pleaser.
Already bottled at the time of my February visit, the 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville provides a bit of a vintage preview, being composed largely of fruit from Harter and Renteria's 360. Cherries and loam are joined on the nose by hints of cinnamon and cedar, while the medium-to full-bodied palate is rather taut but silky, with a long finish.
The 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville is shaping up to be a real beauty. Dark, vibrant and explosive, the 2023 is so promising. Bright acids drive through a core of dark-toned fruit, mocha, espresso, lavender and spice. All the elements are so well balanced. There's great density here.
