Tasting notes
Full bottle 1,153 g. Regenerative Organic Certified (ROC). Medium on the verge of pale ruby with a hint of garnet. Fairly quiet nose with blueberry and spice. Firm tannin and a touch of meatiness but mostly mouth-filling red fruit. Nice length to it. (SCJ)

The 2022 Syrah is a lovely wine, led by textbook savory aromas of olive tapenade, black pepper and deep, brooding dark fruits. The palate is beautifully svelte and delineated, with a lifted, bright energy imparted by the subtle inclusion of stems. It concludes with a chewy, grippy tannin structure with enough fruit stuffing and refreshing acidity to stave off harshness. This will merit a few years in the cellar to further integrate and soften, but it should develop beautifully in bottle.
The 2022 Syrah is zesty with a mentholated freshness that opens the stage for dusty sage, rosemary, white pepper and crushed blackberries. This is intense, with considerable mineral-laced red and black fruits that ride across zesty acidity. It's gently tannic and long with a spicy note as salted-licorice lingers on.
