1987 Orion Syrah

(13.3% alcohol): Bright, deep red-ruby. Rather wild aromas of raspberry, leather, eucalyptus and smoked meat, along with an earthy nuance. At once plush and bracing, communicating a remarkably vibrant character to its pungent red fruit and spice flavors. More nuanced than the 1986, finishing with smoother, sweeter tannins and excellent energy and lift.
