Tasting notes
Was this from the era when Laroche was using synthetic stoppers? Quite deep gold. A bit dead on the palate. Not the pure refreshment one might want from Chablis. (JR)

Cool aromas of citrus peel, chicken broth, mineral dust and wet stone. Bright, supple and sweet, with enticing, thoroughly ripe flavors of peach and nectarine. There's nothing hard about this Chablis , thanks to its full ripeness and old-viney creaminess of texture. Distinctly easygoing today, but has the stuffing to last.
Aromas of green apple and spearmint, with a metallic minerally element. Fatter, sweeter and fuller in the mouth than the foregoing samples. Honeyed and spicy but given shape and grip by bright acids and solid underlying minerality. Chewy, structured Chablis premier cru. The musky finish hints at lime and quinine. A blend of one-third barriques, one-third foudre and one-third cuve
