Tasting notes
Harbison's 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Horseshoe is dense, powerful and super-concentrated. Black cherry, plum, chocolate, new leather and licorice fill out the wine's ample frame. The accumulated effects of four years of drought come through in this potent, deeply resonant Cabernet Sauvignon. Time in the glass brings out redder tonalities of fruit and a good deal of floral-infused overtones as well. I very much like the way the Horseshoe opens up. Effortless and sumptuous, the 2015 will drink nicely with minimal cellaring. The Horseshoe is all Clone 7 Cabernet, which yields a forward, fruit-driven style.

Deep garnet-purple in color, the Harbison 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Horseshoe has a beautiful red and black currant nose with hints of roses, lavender and forest floor plus a waft of fertile loam. The medium to full-bodied palate is paved with soft, silky tannins framing the vibrant fruit, finishing lively and on a gorgeous perfumed note.
