The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville sports a ruby/purple hue as well as ample red and black fruits, notes of spicy oak and flowers, medium-bodied richness, and a nicely balanced mouthfeel. It’s slightly mid-weight, but this has lots to like. It should keep for 10-12 years.

Perhaps a victim of expectations—inevitably elevated by seeing the Oakville AVA on the label and knowing the superb siting of the winery along Silverado Trail—Miner's 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville is a pretty, aromatic effort, marked by attractive scents of cherries, mint, cedar and creosote. It's full-bodied and reasonably concentrated but then turns a bit cedary and drying on the finish.
