Iron, smoke, dark spices and black fruit are some of the notes in Chimney Rock's Cabernet Sauvignon Omega Point. This is one of the darker, more implosive wines in the range. As such, it will require a few years to come around. That said, I don't see the sheer appeal or pedigree of the best wines in the range, price notwithstanding.

From a single vineyard, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Omega Point is a soft, classic Stags Leap Cabernet with unmistakable elegance and finesse. Its dark ruby/purple color is followed by sweet blackcurrant, licorice and graphite notes. The wine displays a lush, medium-bodied, authoritative mouthfeel. Drink it over the next 10-15 years.
